The Heaton Company

In 2017 the Heaton Company merged with Caltron Components. The James S. Heaton Company was specifically founded in 1956 as an Electronics Manufacturer’s Representative company. James learned the rep business from William J. Purdy, who had one of the very first Electronics Manufacturer’s Representative Companies in the Silicon Valley. The James S. Heaton Company was based on simple principles of honesty and a deep seated desire to respect others, including employees, customers and manufacturers. James retired in 1978, but those same principles continued in the company with his sons Jeff and Jim and onto grandson Jon and granddaughter Sandy. The Heaton Company added both trusted personnel and a portfolio of solutions such as transformers, power supplies, smart shunt and high power resistors, TMR sensors and reed relays, along with bulk cable and motors/relays.
